About NeuroRehabilitation

We provide post-NeuroICU clinical care and facilitate neurorecovery for our patients. We specialize in providing neurologically informed, personalized assessments of prognosis and recovery potential and treating ongoing neurologic complications of acute neurologic injury. As part of our work, we assess patients for the risk of neurologic re-injury, poor recovery and secondary decline, and facilitate support for reintegration into society and return to work to the greatest extent possible.

We work collaboratively with our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialists to assess our patients’ needs for physical, occupational and speech therapies and additional consultations and referrals as needed.

With a commitment to leading cutting-edge treatments in recovery, we establish referrals for personalized neurotechnological devices such as assistive communication, and partner locally and nationally with neurorecovery and neurotechnology-focused clinical trials.

A Multidisciplinary, Comprehensive and Patient-centered Approach

Our patient-centered approach involves close collaboration with physiatrists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists, physical/occupational/speech therapists, pharmacists, nurses and social workers who all offer complementary expertise in our care of patients recovering from acute neurologic illness.

Educating the Next Generation

We also provide training in NeuroRecovery for fellows, residents, and medical students who rotate in our clinic.
