Dr. Lester is a clinical psychologist and the Assistant Director of Clinical Innovation at MGH CHOIR. He completed his clinical and postdoctoral fellowships at MGH/HMS in the department of psychiatry (2018-2020). Currently, Dr. Lester works as an embedded clinical psychologist at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH) Stroke Inpatient Service, where he delivered bedside care to patients and families, as well as care team staff (staff support). His embedded work also occurs at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear (MEE) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in addition to his clinical time at MGH. Dr. Lester’s clinical interests and expertise include interventions addressing psychosocial adjustment to trauma, aging, neurological illnesses, and chronic and/or terminal medical illnesses.
Dr. Lester also conducts research in areas of mindfulness, third-wave behavioral therapy, neurocritical care (MGH Neurology Heitman Fellow; funded), staff wellness, and neurofibromatosis (NF; NF-Web”; funded by NF Northeast, NF Midwest, TNFF, and CTF; funded).
