The Center for Engineering in Medicine & Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital offers a variety of training and education programs for predoctoral students.
Predoctoral fellows from a variety of PhD programs at Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have completed their PhD dissertations at the Center for Engineering in Medicine & Surgery (CEMS).
Most students have come from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) Medical Engineering and Medical Physics (MEMP), the MIT Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Departments, and the Harvard Division of Engineering and Applied Science (DEAS).
The benefits of thesis research in the CEMS include the opportunity to work on a complex project with a very experienced team, and the opportunity to learn a broad spectrum of experimental and theoretical modeling skills.
