What is screen time?
Screen time is time spent in front of an electronic screen. This can include cell phones, tablets, iPads®, computers and television.
How much screen time should my baby get every day?
Babies 18 months of age or younger do not need any screen time. After 18 months, babies can have one hour or less of interactive screen time every day.
Interactive screen time is when you and your baby talk and play together while using a device with a screen. The show or game should be educational. Talk about what is on the screen or whatever your baby is interested in.
If my baby does get screen time, what should they watch/play?
Your baby should get interactive screen time with educational content (content in which your baby will learn something, like colors, numbers, manners or facts).
