Physical activity is one of the best (and most fun) ways to keep your heart healthy! Whether indoors, outdoors, walking, swimming, or simply playing in the yard at a local park, there are lots of options when it comes to adding more movement into your family and child’s day.
In this presentation from March 3, 2022, Lorraine Schratz, MD, DipABLM, an attending physician in Pediatric Cardiology at MGfC and Elizabeth Barth, MS, RD, LDN, a registered dietitian at MGfC, share the essentials to helping children and their families on their way to healthier hearts by leading physically active lives. Both Schratz and Barth are a part of the team in the Raising Healthy Hearts Program within Pediatric Cardiology. The Raising Healthy Hearts Program focuses on lifestyle and behavior change in the setting of weight and cholesterol management.
