Resident Recruitment at the Center for Diversity and Inclusion
Recruitment Initiatives
We work closely with all 21 Mass General-affiliated residency programs to recruit residents from groups who are underrepresented in medicine (UIM). Residents and fellows also share their unique experiences at Mass General with students and potential applicants.
National Residency Recruitment Fairs
Mass General URiM residents serve as ambassadors for Mass General, the CDI, and their departments at Student National Medical Association and Latino Medical Student Association meetings and other residency fairs around the country.
Networking Receptions for UIM Residency Applicants
During the Mass General residency recruitment and interview season, CDI organizes several receptions for UIM applicants. The receptions provide an opportunity for applicants to meet UIM residents, fellows and faculty in a more relaxed setting and receive a perspective on training at Mass General and living in the Boston area.
For Current Medical Students
If you are considering Mass General for future training, consider applying to these CDI-sponsored student programs:
- Clinical Rotations: If you are a non-HMS medical student interested in a clinical experience at Mass General, consider participating in the Visiting Clerkship Program during your fourth year of medical school.
- Biomedical Research: If you are a first- or second-year medical student interested in clinical or basic science research, the Summer Research Trainee Program will provide you with a positive experience at Mass General.
