The Massachusetts General Hospital Spiritual Care Department welcomes and encourages visits from home clergy of patients. To make your visit as easy as possible, Mass General provides free parking for ordained clergy visiting a member of their congregation. Here’s what you need to do:
- Upon parking at a hospital garage, please retain the parking ticket
- After your visit, when you exit, identify yourself as visiting clergy to the parking attendant. You will be asked to show some form of identification, such as a business card and ID
- You will also be asked to sign a sheet with your name, the date and time of your visit, the patient’s last name and the patient’s room number. Make sure you know the building and room number in advance– for example, Lunder 612, White 936, Blake 866
- If the Mass General Spiritual Care Department can be helpful to you in any way, before, during or after your visit, please call our office directly at 617-726-2220
- Thank you for your invaluable support to the members of your community while they are here at Mass General. Also, please feel free to contact us if there are ways that we can serve you, the patient and/or their loved ones. For a map of the Mass General campus, click here
