Assistant Professor of Medicine
Gastroenterology Division, Department of Medicine

Dr. Jeffrey studies how changes in the gene expression of cells can contribute to immune disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease and multiple sclerosis.
 

Luana Marques, PhD

Phyllis and Jerome Lyle Rappaport MGH Research Scholar 2020-2025
Associate Professor of Psychology
Department of Psychiatry

Dr. Marques is testing innovative, community-based models to address the access-to-care crisis in mental health.
 

Yakeel T. Quiroz, PhD

MGH Research Scholar 2020-2025
Associate Professor of Psychology
Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology

Dr. Quiroz is studying rare genetic variants and their protective effects in individuals with familial Alzheimer’s disease.
 

Laurence Rahme, PhD, MSc

MGH Research Scholar 2020-2025
Professor of Surgery
Department of Surgery | Center for Surgery, Innovation and Bioengineering

Dr. Rahme is devising new strategies to disarm harmful bacteria without killing them as a new strategy to reduce the number of antibiotic-resistant infections.
 

Mario Suvà, MD, PhD

Janet and William Ellery James MGH Research Scholar 2020-2025
Associate Professor of Pathology
Department of Pathology | Mass General Cancer Center

Dr. Suvà is working to drive new insights into brain tumors by sequencing individual tumor cells to learn more about how they behave in the context of cancer.
 

MGH Research Scholars Stand Tall Against COVID-19

It will come as no surprise for you to hear that our MGH Research Scholars are playing leadership roles in Mass General’s response to the COVID-19 crisis, moving quickly to create solutions to the most pressing problems of the pandemic.
