By developing highly precise techniques for gene editing, Beam Therapeutics hopes to develop new strategies for preventing and treating genetic disorders.

Bassett Recognized For Global Efforts to Stop the Spread of HIV |

Ingrid Bassett, MD, MPH, Weissman Family MGH Research Scholar 2018-2023, pictured far right, recently received an "Excellence in Research" 2018 Mass General Global Health Service award.
The award recognizes Bassett's innovative research on the HIV care continuum in sub-Saharan Africa and her commitment to serving under-resourced communities.
"I am delighted to be able to leverage Mass General’s strengths to increase community-based HIV screening, treatment and prevention in sub-Saharan Africa," said Bassett.
