About Amanda Backe, PT, DPT

Amanda Backe, PT, DPT, was born and raised in Danvers, Massachusetts. She developed her love for sports at an early age playing soccer. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Sport Movement Science with a minor in Management from Salem State University in 2019. While at Salem State, she was the starting goalkeeper for the women’s soccer team and assumed the role of goalkeeping coach upon graduation. During this time, she also obtained certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, applying her expertise to adult, middle school, high school and Division I-III collegiate athletes across Massachusetts.

Amanda's commitment to sports performance and rehabilitation led her to advancing her education and pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She completed her studies at Tufts University in 2023, where she guided numerous patients through their rehabilitation journeys. Her education also included valuable experience working closely with Division I athletes at Villanova University, aiding them in returning to peak performance on the field.

Her clinical interests include ACL rehab and injury prevention in lower extremity athletes. She is committed to helping athletes of all ages and skill levels maximize their full potential through a personalized, holistic approach. By combining her expertise in sports medicine and biomechanics, she empowers her patients to not only recover from injuries but also build lasting physical resilience. When Amanda is not in the clinic, you can find her paddleboarding, hiking in the mountains or training for CrossFit competitions.
