The Pathways Consult Service sits on the nexus of graduate medical education, basic/translational research and clinical medicine. The Pathways Service seeks to raise questions about human biology just as much as it seeks to answer them. As such, not all patients who are referred for consultation will be selected for evaluation by the Pathways team. Pathways cases are selected based on several factors, including the availability of trainees for in-depth investigation, and the potential to elucidate underlying mechanisms of disease that remain poorly understood. Only physicians are eligible to refer patients to the Pathways Service.

Once the below form has been completed, the Pathways leadership team will meet to review each case. After review, the team will contact the referring provider. This process can take up to two weeks.
