Sheilajane is a personable certified pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) and mom. She received her undergraduate degree from Stonehill College and her master’s degree in nursing magna cum laude from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of the Health Professions. She currently holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine.

Sheilajane has worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Boston Medical Center for over ten years. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and has worked in many settings, including primary pediatric outpatient clinic, well baby, burn center, and growth and nutrition clinic. She has also served in a supervisory role teaching medical students, residents and nurses.

Pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs) are registered nurses with extra clinical training leading to an advanced practice nursing certification. PNPs diagnose and treat the full breadth of pediatric conditions, and are able to perform complete physical examinations as well. We are excited that we will be able to enhance our level of service to you, especially as our practice has become busier.
