I am board certified in and practice Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in the US and Botswana, I am an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, and a Research Associate at Harvard School of Public Health. My research is focused on the health of HIV-infected pregnant women and their children in Botswana, a country where nearly 1 in 3 pregnant women are HIV-infected. I also precept Harvard affiliated Internal Medicine and Pediatric residents at one of Botswana's district hospitals. With 25% of my effort devoted to clinical care, I maintain my acumen in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics by attending at MGH Chelsea Urgent Care, serving as an attending on the Bigelow adult inpatient service two weeks per year, and periodically serving as the pediatrician responsible for neonatal resuscitation at MGH. My mix of clinical care is synergistic with my research focus.
