Overview

The Cardiogenetics Aortopathy Program at Mass General for Children provides evaluation (including genetic counseling, genetic testing and imaging), clinical monitoring, lifelong care and age-appropriate education for patients and family members with known or probable cardiogenetic syndromes or genetic conditions (e.g. Down, Marfan, Williams, Ehlers-Danlos) in which a cardiac anomaly is a common feature. Medical geneticists and pediatric cardiologists work together to ensure that patients’ care is well-coordinated.

Led by pediatric cardiologist and medical geneticist Angela Lin, MD, and staffed by other medical geneticists, master’s-level genetics counselors and social workers, this program offers special expertise and support for individuals with cardiomyopathies and Williams, Turner and Costello syndromes.
