Lurie Center for Autism: Adult Psychiatry
With the expanded mission of providing services across the lifespan, the Lurie Center offers psychiatric services for adults with autism spectrum (ASD) and other developmental disorders. Like other adults, individuals with ASD experience a range of emotions and behaviors such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and irritability (aggression, self-injury, severe tantrums). Our psychiatrists offer medication evaluation and management and referrals to other mental health providers both within and outside MassGeneral Hospital for counseling, psychotherapy, and behavioral treatments to alleviate or reduce difficult symptoms.
Our psychiatrists provide both direct clinical care and opportunities for participation in research.
