Explore the Mass General Cancer Center Sexual Health Clinic
Overview
A cancer diagnosis can affect all aspects of a patient’s normal functioning and unfortunately, sexual health is often not an area of focus during treatment. There can be long term implications for one’s ability to resume normal sexual function following the completion of cancer treatment. Our objective is to help you maintain or reconnect with your sexual being after cancer.
Currently, the Mass General Cancer Center Sexual Health Clinic is a resource for both female and male patients who have received or are currently receiving cancer treatment at Mass General. We see patients of all ages and diagnosis regardless of what type of cancer treatment they have received. Couples are encouraged to attend!
Appointments are available on Mondays, Tuesday afternoons, Wednesdays, and Thursday mornings.
What to Expect
The clinic is a nurse practitioner-run program, and consists of at least three visits. The goal is to meet with patients prior to the start of treatment, at the end of treatment, and 6-8 weeks following treatment completion. Further follow-up visits can also be arranged. Even if you have already started treatment but are interested, please contact us.
