Lifestyle medicine is the use of healthy lifestyle behaviors to improve both physical and mental health. Lifestyle medicine can aid recovery in people with cancer and help to reduce the risk of other chronic diseases. Healthy lifestyle behaviors are also important self-care for caregivers supporting their loved ones with cancer. In this presentation, three oncology (cancer) care providers from the MGH Cancer Center Lifestyle Medicine Program will describe what lifestyle medicine is and give practical tips for its use. We will also be joined by a patient who will share her lifestyle medicine journey as a program participant and a caregiver.
