About Anne Fiore, NP, DNP
Anne serves as the Clinical Director for the Orthopaedic Oncology Service (Sarcoma & Chordoma). She is also the Director of the Orthopaedic Advanced Practicer Providers and Clinical Program.
Administratively, Anne is a member of the Orthopedic Senior Leadership team and is the Clinical Director of Orthopedic Oncology Surgery, one of the nine sub-specialties in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. She collaborates on a daily basis with her colleagues in the Cancer Center (medical, radiation, surgical oncologists) who care for patients with primary sarcoma and chordoma, and metastatic disease from other carcinomas, with a multi-disciplinary approach to care.
Clinically, Anne's passion has been focused on optimizing patients for surgery, preparing patients and families for the surgical management of their tumors, both mentally and physically. Anne’s doctoral research took patient preparation to the next level; dealing with the aftermath of these complex oncologic surgeries, assisting patients in coping with alterations in body image, mobility and daily activities to enhance their quality of life.
Professionally, Anne takes pride in her years of mentoring nurses and APPs. She serves as the Orthopedic APP Director, leading 60 highly skilled NPs and PAs who function in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as Responding Clinicians and providers in independent clinics, and many perform first assist responsibilities in the operating room as well. This APP team continues to grow as the Orthopedic department expands. She is the Director of the Institute for Orthopedic Education and also develops and implements department Clinical Programs.
