Dr. Kelly McInnis, Sports Medicine physician, honored by Boston College

On Sept. 3, the Boston College Eagles football program opened its season at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill against Rutgers University. Before the game, BC honored one of its own, who also happens to be one of our own. Kelly McInnis, DO is a leader on the Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine team with a focus on women’s sports medicine and a proud BC women’s soccer alum. Dr. McInnis is a renowned expert in injury management, recovery and prevention for endurance athletes using non-operative techniques. She was the first woman and physiatrist to join the Sports Medicine Service at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she works with athletes of all levels.
