The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at the Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center (Danvers) offers state-of-the-art sub-specialty care for women, including infertility, high-risk obstetrics and midwifery.
Leading experts from Massachusetts General Hospital and Salem Hospital provide specialized and compassionate care that incorporates the newest evidence-based research, innovations and treatments.
Our specialists collaborate with a large network of community physicians to provide the full range of OB/GYN services for women. Please note, however, that labor and delivery services are not offered at this facility. Understanding the special needs of our patients, we provide compassionate and expert care while working with you to develop an individualized, advanced treatment plan in a comfortable, patient-oriented environment. Our multidisciplinary team provides the most advanced treatments for women with a variety of gynecologic cancers, including:

Our nurse-midwives are certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and hold master’s degrees in nursing, midwifery, science or public health. At Mass General, you can choose a nurse-midwife or obstetrician to care for you throughout your low- or moderate-risk pregnancy and birth. Our nurse-midwives will also meet you when triaging obstetric hospital visits and phone calls or when providing family planning services.
Nurse-midwives have been active in our departments from the very beginning and deliver approximately one-quarter of the babies born at Mass General each year.

Urogynecology
Our urogynecologists provide specialty care for a wide variety of pelvic floor disorders, including:
- Pelvic organ prolapse, such as uterine or bladder prolapse
- Vaginal prolapse
- Urinary incontinence
- Fecal incontinence
They specialize in minimally invasive surgical approaches, including laparoscopy and robotically assisted surgery. Patients can receive the full spectrum of care at the convenient Danvers location including consultations, office visits, nonsurgical procedures, and outpatient surgery.
Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery takes pride in developing individualized urogynecological treatment plans for each patient, incorporating the most advanced surgical and nonsurgical options available. Our treatment philosophy, and the preference of most patients, is to avoid surgery whenever possible. Many conditions can be treated using nonsurgical approaches. For patients who require surgery, we are committed to leveraging minimally invasive procedures that involve less pain and a shorter recovery time.

Parking: The Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center (Danvers) has designated handicapped parking spaces and sidewalk ramps that are easily accessible to the center's main entrance.
Wheelchairs: Wheelchairs are available at the hospital's main entrance. Onsite greeters or the center's receptionist can help coordinate a wheelchair upon patient arrival. Patients can also request a wheelchair in advance of their visit by calling 978-882-6100. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your visit more comfortable.
