The Midwifery Service is a vital part of the Obstetrics Program at Mass General.
Nurse-midwives at Mass General provide family planning and contraception services, and prenatal, labor and delivery and postpartum care for those patients who are considered to have low- or moderate-risk pregnancies. To make an appointment with the Midwifery Service, contact the Obstetrics Program and request an appointment with a midwife.

Marina Chyten, CNM, MS, is a staff nurse-midwife in the Midwifery Division in the Department of OB/GYN at Mass General. Her clinical interests include caring for women in the postpartum period. She is also committed to adolescent and teen healthcare. She sees patients on our Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units and speaks Russian. Marina completed her midwifery education at the University of Rhode Island and holds a BS from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
