The Institute for Patient Care
The Institute for Patient Care, housed within Nursing & Patient Care Services at Massachusetts General Hospital, represents a first-of-its-kind, innovative model for advancing multidisciplinary healthcare.
The Institute is comprised of four separate centers that together encompass several key tenets of the N & PCS commitment to delivering the highest-quality health care: professional development, research, innovation and patient education:
- Norman Knight Nursing Center for Clinical & Professional Development
- Maxwell & Eleanor Blum Patient and Family Learning Center
- Yvonne L. Munn Center for Nursing Research
- Center for Innovation in Care Delivery
The Institute also includes interdisciplinary programs and initiatives including Collaborative Governance, Clinical Recognition, Affiliations, Credentialing, Simulation and the Global Nursing Education Program.
