When and where can you get a flu shot? Find out by calling our hotline.
If you have a cough or fever and need to be seen at Massachusetts General Hospital, please call your provider ahead to let his/her office know you have these symptoms.
When you arrive at Mass General, please get a face mask at the nearest information or front desk and follow the guidelines below during your time at the hospital:
- Wear a mask at all times
- Use tissues and cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing or cough into your upper sleeve
- Discard tissues into trash
- Wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand rub to clean your hands
Visiting Patients
If you are visiting a patient and have a cough or fever, please delay your visit. If you must visit, wear a mask at all times.
Visiting the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Because pregnant women and newborns are at high risk for severe illness if they become sick with the flu, visitors to the outpatient obstetric offices, labor and delivery unit, postpartum unit and all newborn nurseries (Blake 13 and 14, Ellison 13) are limited to healthy people over the age of 18 during flu season.
