Jennifer Kulesa-Kelley, RN, MSN, CTTS-M
Program Manager
Jennifer joined MIHPC in 2011. She has worked within Mass General Brigham in the area of Tobacco Research and Treatment since 2001. She currently works with Dr. Nancy Rigotti and manages the Partners in Helping You Quit (PiHQ) employee smoking cessation program and multi-site NIH-NHLBI trial (Helping HAND) comparing the effectiveness of post-discharge strategies for hospitalized smokers. Jennifer graduated from Salve Regina University with her BA in Anthropology, Ball State University with her MA in Wellness Management, UMass Amherst with her MS in Nursing, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from UMass Amherst. Jennifer is a Masters-level Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist and holds a National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice (NCTTP).
Michele Reyen, MPH
Program Manager
Michele joined the Tobacco Research and Treatment Center in 2004. She has managed numerous projects with Dr. Nancy Rigotti on tobacco cessation medications and counseling in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She served as the manager of the Mass General Tobacco Treatment Service which offered tobacco cessation counseling to all patients identified as tobacco users admitted to Mass General. She graduated from the University of Rochester with her BS in Psychology and Boston University with her MPH in Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Lauren Hoffman, BS
Clinical Research Coordinator
Lauren is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Institute for Health Policy. Lauren assists Dr. Nancy Rigotti with Helping Hand 4, a randomized controlled trial comparing the effectiveness of two smoking cessation interventions for recently discharged hospital patients. Additionally, Lauren assists Dr. Rigotti with the implementation of Partners in Helping You Quit, a Mass General Brigham-wide employee smoking cessation program. Lauren graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.S. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences.
Sydney Howard, MS
Clinical Research Coordinator
Sydney is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Division of General Internal Medicine. Sydney assists Dr. Gina Kruse with Get Ready to Quit: a text message intervention aiming to promote smoking cessation in community health center patients and provides programming support for other projects. Sydney also assists Dr. Dan Blumenthal with monitoring angina symptoms among patients with CAD. Sydney has a BS in Computer Science from Rhodes College and a MS in Epidemiology from Tulane University.
Helen Montie, BA
Clinical Research Coordinator
Helen is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Tobacco Research and Treatment Center and assists Dr. Nancy Rigotti with the Helping HAND 4 Study, researching tobacco cessation interventions for cigarette smokers who were recently discharged from the hospital. Helen graduated from Amherst College with a BA in Anthropology and earned the Certificate in Culture, Health, and Science from the Five-College Consortium in the Pioneer Valley.
Kelly Kalagher, BS
Clinical Research Coordinator
Kelly is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Tobacco Treatment and Research Center. She assists Dr. Sara Kalkhoran with an randomized control trial looking at the effects of electronic cigarettes in smokers with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She also assists Dr. Nancy Rigotti with Helping Hand 4, a randomized controlled trial comparing the effectiveness of two smoking cessation interventions for recently discharged hospital patients. Kelly graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BS in Kinesiology.
