Nancy has 35+ years of experience as a registered nurse, practicing in an advanced practice nursing role since 2004. Working as a nurse practitioner in a hospital-based Palliative Care consultation service since 2007 has solidified her passion in caring for the seriously ill person as well as their loved ones. Nancy’s expertise includes expert symptom management and goal-oriented communication.

From 2017-2021, Nancy served as the inpatient palliative care cardiac liaison, focusing on advanced heart failure patients. In 2022, she transitioned her dedication to the integration of palliative care in liver failure patients. Through research, Nancy’s goal is to provide evidence of the efficacy of palliative care in improving outcomes of hepatology patients. Her clinical passion is the added value palliative care integration brings to seriously ill patients.
