Andrea earned her Master of Social Work degree with a Certificate in Health Care Social Work at Simmons University in 2019. Before she joined the Inpatient Palliative Care team at Massachusetts General Hospital, Andrea spent several years as a clinical social worker at Boston Children’s Hospital, working primarily in the cardiac intensive care unit. Through this work, Andrea developed a deep passion for working with patients and their families as they navigate life with a chronic illness. While at BCH, Andrea was involved in several committees looking to improve communication around serious illness and goals of care, as well as improve institutional processes around end-of-life care.

Andrea is looking forward to utilizing and expanding upon this experience to serve patients and their families as a member of the Mass General Palliative Care team.
