Dr. Kristin Burke, MD, MPH is an inflammatory bowel disease physician in the Crohn’s and Colitis Center in the Division of Gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Burke specializes in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and microscopic colitis. Dr. Burke’s primary research interests are in improving treatment response in inflammatory bowel diseases, and the pathogenesis and treatment of microscopic colitis.
Dr. Burke earned her MD from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed her medicine residency and chief resident year at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the West Roxbury VA, in Boston, MA. She then completed General Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital. She obtained a Master in Public Health Degree at the Harvard School of Public Health.
