Biography
- Credited with contributions in improving radiation protection for patients and staff in over 70 countries previously through his actions through the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and now through MGH since 2016

- Responsible for development of IAEA training material on radiation protection in diagnostic and interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, cardiology and hybrid imaging, all of which are available for free download
- Established international training programs for interventional cardiologists, doctors who use fluoroscopy outside radiology (e.g., urologists, orthopedic surgeons, gastroenterologist and gynecologists) and vascular surgeons in which he trained doctors from over 60 countries

- Served as Director of Radiation Protection, European Society of Radiology (ESR) and is credited with establishing a new program on EuroSafe Imaging
