About Jasper Lee, PhD
Jasper Lee, PhD is a clinical psychologist in the Behavioral Medicine Program in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Lee specializes in behavioral medicine, a branch of psychology that focuses on working with patients who experience both psychological and physical health difficulties. He primarily works with patients to improve psychological well-being in the context of chronic illnesses, injuries, and diseases. Dr. Lee utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-based approach, which is an evidence-based approach for many common mental health disorders.
Clinically, Dr. Lee focuses on treating patients with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and alcohol and substance use disorders. Dr. Lee's research focuses on developing new treatments for people with multiple co-occurring psychosocial and structural problems that interfere with their treatment for HIV and other infectious diseases in both the United States and internationally.
