About Nora Cao, MD

Dr. Nora Cao is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery. She treats children with a wide range of orthopedic conditions and injuries including hip dysplasia, scoliosis, congenital limb deformities, upper and lower extremity fractures and neuromuscular disorders. She sees patients at Massachusetts General Hospital and at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Dr. Cao received her undergraduate and master's degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering from University of Pennsylvania. She earned her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine. She completed residency training in orthopedic surgery at the Tufts Affiliated Hospitals Orthopedic Residency Program in Boston, MA. She completed her fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery, with a special focus on hip preservation surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY.

Dr. Cao has published many peer-reviewed articles and presented her research at multiple medical conferences. In her free time, Dr. Cao is a food enthusiast who enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and young daughter.

Dr. Cao's research interests include treatment of hip dysplasia and surgical outcome of periacetabular osteotomies, surgical hip dislocations and pediatric scoliosis.
