About Bin Yang, MD

Dr. Yang grew up in Maryland and went to Johns Hopkins University where he majored in Biomedical Engineering. He received his M.D. from Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University/Northwell in New York. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University and cardiology and heart failure and transplant fellowships at Washington University in St. Louis before joining the faculty at MGH.

Dr. Yang specializes in caring for patients with heart failure, including those with mechanical circulatory support devices and heart transplants. He is especially passionate about utilizing all the latest evidence-based medicines and technology to improve clinical outcomes for patients with heart failure. Dr. Yang understands that managing this condition is a team effort and look forward to working with his patients and colleagues to better the lives of everyone living with heart failure. 

Dr. Yang is also committed to research to advance our knowledge of cardiovascular disease that can ultimately lead to therapies to treat heart failure. Specific areas of interest include high blood pressure in the lungs (also called pulmonary hypertension) and syndromes associated with right heart dysfunction.
