About Rodica Turcu, MD
Dr Turcu completed her pediatric residency, chief residency, and neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at Michigan State University. She joined MGfC after practicing at Norton Children’s Hospital and University of Louisville in Louisville KY and at Tufts Children’s Hospital where She served as the NICU Medical Director. Dr Turcu specializes in the care of preterm and term infants with a wide spectrum of acute neonatal conditions, both Medical and surgical. her expertise is centered around care of the extremely premature infants, respiratory physiology and ventilatory support, POCUS, NICU organization and innovations, quality improvement and neonatal network development. She enjoys teaching and mentoring Medical trainees, with special interest in clinical embryology and fetal and neonatal development. Dr Turcu serves as the MGH Medical Director of Neonatology.
