About Blake Alkire, MD, MPH
Dr. Blake Alkire is a general otolaryngologist at Mass. Eye and Ear, Longwood, who specializes in comprehensive adult and pediatric otolaryngology and sinus disease. Dr. Alkire provides care to adult and pediatric patients for all ear, nose, and throat conditions. His clinical interests include acute and chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, hearing loss, and voice disorders.
Given his interests in global health initiatives, he also works with the Program in Global Surgery at Harvard Medical School. His research interests include developing economic models to understand the costs and benefits of expanding surgical capacity in low- and middle-income countries.

I think Dr. Blake is an excellent doctor and he's great with the patient, speaking from me, and he takes time and is concerned about his patients and very understanding. I wouldn't leave him for nothing. So he's an excellent doctor, he's caring, and he's concerned about his patients. I give him a 10, or actually a 20.

Thorough, communicative, respectful. Listened carefully to everything I had to say and when I expressed anxiety around certain things he was extra careful and respectful of that. When examining gave feedback which I value.

I like Dr. Alkire. He always listens carefully to what I have to say. He explains the medical issue in a way that is clear and precise, so I understand what the problem is.
This doctor, Dr. Alkire, I think, he is the first time I've seen him and what a fantastic doctor. He knew the history, he understood what was going on, he explained my hearing test results. I most definitely will be coming back even though this office is further away than other offices. That's it.
Dr. Alkire is the best ears and nose and throat guy to go to. He is so good. One of my family members is making an appointment to see him in April. I'm very satisfied with him and so glad I found him.
