About Sarah Housman, MD
Sarah Housman, MD, is an instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and a primary care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital at 101 Merrimac and Chelsea HealthCare Center Urgent Care. She specializes in women’s health and is part of the Mass General Women’s Health Sex and Gender Medicine Steering Committee. She is an award winning medical educator and was the recipient of the 2021 Mass General Internal Medicine Commitment and Excellence in Teaching Award. She was awarded the Gold Humanism Award in 2010 for her dedication and commitment to compassion and humanism in medicine. She is an Ambulatory Core Educator for Mass General Internal Medicine Residency Education, Department of Medicine Residency Educator Coordinator at 101 Merrimac and is the director of the Women’s Health Workshop for first year residents as well as a lead educator of the Sex and Gender curriculum for second and third year residents. She teaches Harvard Medical students through the Primary Care Clerkship in the Mass General Principal Clinical Experience. In addition she is part of the National Medical Task Force for the Office of Refugee Resettlement. She attends on the Bigelow inpatient internal medicine teaching service and has been a presenter at Mass General Internal Medicine Grand Rounds and National Society for General Internal Medicine around topics of women’s health, in particular, reproductive healthcare.
