Kyle Eberlin, MD, grew up in Buffalo, NY, and completed his undergraduate and medical school education in the Seven-Year Accelerated Medical Program at Boston University. He received his BA in Medical Science where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his MD from Boston University School of Medicine, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and first in his class.
Dr. Eberlin completed residency training in the Harvard Integrated Plastic Surgery Program. He served on numerous committees including the MGH Committee on Teaching and Education and the Harvard Plastic Surgery Executive Committee. Dr. Eberlin completed subspecialty hand surgery and microsurgery training in the Orthopaedic Hand Surgery Fellowship at Mass General before joining the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He currently serves as the program director of the Mass General Brigham Harvard Plastic Surgery Residency Program and the associate director of the MGH Hand Surgery Fellowship.
In 2017, Dr. Eberlin was awarded the Julian Pribaz Teaching Award, which is given to one surgeon within the Harvard Plastic Surgery Training Program. He was selected as the American Society for Surgery of the Hand's 2018-2019 Plastic Surgery Visiting Professor, and was recently chosen as the American Society for Peripheral Nerve Traveling Fellow for 2020 given his contributions to peripheral nerve surgery and the surgical management of symptomatic neuromas.
Dr. Eberlin's practice focuses on all aspects of hand surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and microsurgery. He is active in many national committees, including his role on the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Health Policy Committee and the chair of the Hand/Nerve Surgery Subcommittee. He serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Association for Hand Surgery. He serves as the section editor of Hand/Nerve Surgery for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the section editor of Peripheral Nerve Surgery for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open, and is on the Editorial Board of Hand and Orthoplastic Surgery.
Dr. Eberlin has published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles and is recognized as a leader in the field.
