About Linda Zamvil, MD
Dr. Zamvil is triple board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. She sees many children, adolescents and adults with complex psychiatric and medical problems. She also supervises clinicians: psychiatrists (staff, residents and fellows), nurse practitioners, psychologists and social workers. In her clinical, administrative and teaching duties she is responsible for teaching at case conferences, demonstrations of interviewing techniques, and educating staff and trainees in clinical documentation that meets clinical and regulations standards. Colleagues and managed care organizations frequently ask for her consultations. Dr. Zamvil sees patients in the community in Morrisville and Stowe, Vermont. She consults daily with family physicians as part of integrating care in a Federally Qualified Health Center in rural Vermont and supervises over a dozen mental health providers. She lectures to physicians, mental health providers and schools about psychiatric disorders and has been asked to conduct webinars for Families for Depression Awareness on Teen Depression. Dr. Zamvil is fortunate to have three generations of families with serious mental illness in her practice, some of whom she has treated since her residency. Dr. Zamvil serves on the Clinical Advisory Board for Families for Depression Awareness, as well as Esperanza Magazine of Canada and USA. She is also on The Rural Psychiatry Committee of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and a clinical advisor to the Medicare Accountable Care Organization for the State of Vermont.
