Dr. Ari Cohen is the Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has filled this position since 2009. Dr. Cohen holds an appointment at the Harvard Medical School and serves as an associate medical director for Boston MedFlight.
Dr. Cohen is an active researcher in pediatric emergency medicine and lectures locally and nationally on topics involving pediatric respiratory disease, head trauma and anaphylaxis. He has participated in the medical response for both the Boston and NYC Marathons. Dr. Cohen completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and attended medical school at the University of Chicago, and completed his pediatric residency and pediatric chief residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He completed a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. He was co-chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC before returning to Boston.
