Research

Research interests have included acute coronary syndromes and experimental studies on limiting/reducing infarct size through pharmacological means, with particular emphasis on drugs that modify myocardial infarct healing. She also has studied and developed methods to accurately quantify the size of myocardial infarcts enabling to measure the influence of drugs on collagen formation after myocardial infarction.

Dr Vivaldi's clinical research interest focuses on valvular heart disease, including long term follow up of mitral valve prolapse assessing different endpoints such as hospitalization, mortality and need for mitral valve surgery. Using echocardiography she has also prospectively studied a population of patients with trace aortic insufficiency to understand the natural history of the disease and determine appropriate clinical interventional points.

I needed more time to talk and to ask questions, but I guess they're too busy. I needed more time, things that have been on my mind for a long time, because you cannot get to see these cardiology doctors often. [redacted] Thank you.

I have been a patient of Dr. Vivaldi for many years. She explains what is happening and why I need the medications I have been taking. She orders blood work for me when I need ... Read More

She explained topics very thoroughly and made them easy to understand. Dr. Vivaldi is extremely professional.

This provider was very thorough in questioning and understanding my situation.

Before my appointment with Dr. Vivaldi, my friend suggested his cardiologist. To me, my friend's cardiologist pushed solutions without understanding my health and situation first. I did not ... Read More

It was comforting to be in her care-she's knowledgeable and had a good patient bedside manner. She immediately recommended statins for my elevated cholesterol which I've been avoiding and my PCC didn't push too hard. She has a no nonsense approach.
