Patients Educate New Doctors on the Importance of Family-Centered Rounds
For children and teens recovering from illness or injury, understanding their treatment plan gives them a voice and allows them to take a more active role in managing their care. That message was made clear when two longtime patients spoke with pediatric residents beginning their hospital training.
Dr. Scott-Vernaglia is not only a fantastic doctor but she really cares abt her patients. She listens to me and takes my preferences/worries into consideration. She always follows up whether it's a message or test results.
The care provider was very nice. I will say, though, I felt pressured for my daughter to get the hepatitis A vaccine. And I just feel like it's unnecessary to pressure parents to give vaccines that are not comfortable giving their children. Otherwise, I had a great experience. Thanks.
