Mass General for Children’s (MGfC) Department of Pediatric Radiation Oncology targets tumors using the latest and most advanced pediatric radiotherapy treatments and techniques. Pediatric radiation oncologists collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure personalized, integrated, and family-centered care for every patient. As part of Massachusetts General Hospital, MGfC offers access to the only proton therapy site in all of New England. This type of radiation therapy can be beneficial when treating tumors in younger patients as it minimizes the long-term effects on growth and development.
