Patient Drop-off & Pickup

Patients should be dropped off at the address listed with their appointment details on Patient Gateway. During ongoing construction at Mass General’s main entrance, patients and visitors are advised to use the Yawkey Building or the Wang Building for patient drop-off. All existing parking facilities will remain accessible throughout this phase of the project. Vehicles cannot be parked in front of the main entrance for any length of time.

The Fruit Street Garage, level GA (located just before the exit gates) is dedicated to short-term/live parking. There is no cost to park in this area for the first 30 minutes. Patients and visitors are strongly advised to use this area for patient drop-off.

Picking Up Patients after Appointments and Discharges

Patients can be picked up at the Wang Circle (off Parkman Street) or in front of the Yawkey building from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note, patients should be ready for pickup when their transportation arrives. If parking is needed for a longer duration, please park in the Fruit Street Garage. Vehicles will not be allowed to park to wait for a patient and will be directed to the garage.

Parking

Mass General parking garages offer free parking for up to 30 minutes and discounted rates for longer visits. Please note that privately owned parking garages do not offer discounted patient rates. Learn more about parking at Mass General.

Patient Discharge Information

Before leaving the hospital, please be sure you:

• Have all of your personal belongings
• Have prescriptions for medications prescribed during your stay
• Understand your discharge instructions
