The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rated Mass General 5/5 stars for hospital quality. The ratings compare hospital performance on approximately 60 quality and patient safety metrics to the national average and create an overall score.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center awarded Mass General the highest honor available for nursing excellence, making Mass General the first hospital in Massachusetts to achieve Magnet status.
The American Heart Association awarded Mass General with the Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll, Advanced Therapy and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll achievement awards.
