Dana Winfrey is a staff nurse-midwife in the Midwifery Division of the Department of OB/GYN at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is passionate about improving maternal health outcomes, particularly in under-resourced communities, which was the driving force behind her decision to become a midwife. Dana earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University.
Her clinical interests focus on adolescent pregnancy, trauma-informed care, reproductive equality for individuals with disabilities, and family planning. She is committed to reducing maternal health inequities and advocating for compassionate care for all women.
Dana provides care to patients in multiple settings, including the Obstetrics Office at Yawkey, Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum at Massachusetts General Hospital.
