The Multiple Sclerosis & Neuromyelitis Optica Unit at Mass General strives to deliver top-notch clinical care to all our patients with MS and related disorders. We employ a multidisciplinary model of care that includes neurology care MS-specialized nursing, physical therapy, psychology, neuroradiology, urology and other related disciplines.

Research & Clinical Trials

We also conduct novel research on MS, including therapeutic clinical trials, neuroimaging and basic science that can help us understand the fundamental underpinnings of MS and other neurological disorders.

Training & Education

The BWH/MGH MS and Neuroimmunology (MSNI) Fellowship Program trains the next generation of clinicians and researchers specializing in MS and related diseases. The BWH/MGH MS and Neuroimmunology (MSNI) Fellowship Program has trained 16 clinical fellows since 2011 to meet the growing needs of MS and neuroimmunology patients. The MSNI Program is a hybrid program comprised of clinical and clinical research tracks offered through the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), academically affiliated with Harvard Medical School (HMS).
