About Howard Cox
Howard Cox joined Greylock Partners in 1971 following three years in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Systems Analysis). He led Greylock in a number of successful investments most of which were in healthcare and served on the board of three New York Stock Exchange Companies. Notable Greylock portfolio company public offerings include LinkedIn, Facebook, Airbnb, Workday and Palo Alto. Currently Howard is a Special Limited Partner.
Howard is an Advisory Trustee of the Fidelity Strategic Advisers Fund Board and a Director of Brown Advisory, a wealth advisory firm with $130 billion under management. He is Chairman of the Finance and Investment Committee of In-Q-Tel which brings new technologies to the CIA and other US intelligence agencies. In addition to the DFCI investment committee he serves on the investment committees of Brown Advisory, the MFA, and the Norton Museum. Previously he served on the Mass General Brigham and Brookings Investment Committees. He currently serves on numerous charitable and national security boards.
Along with his partners he was a recipient of the Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award. In 2020 he was a recipient the National Venture Capital Lifetime Achievement Award.
Howard is a graduate of Princeton, Columbia Law School and Harvard Business School.
