About the Program

The Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and management of cystic kidney diseases. The Clinic provides a comprehensive approach to patient care with access to the hospital's range of kidney, cardiovascular, neurologic and urologic treatments and programs, including expert teams of surgeons and genetic counselors. Services offered include:

• Total kidney care (treatment of hypertension; nutritional counseling; genetic counseling; preparation for dialysis; dialysis access; kidney transplantation)
• Genetic counseling, including preimplantation genetic diagnosis
• Presymptomatic radiology screening
• Laparoscopic cyst reduction
• Urologic management
• Neurosurgical management
