Transition and Stay Connected
One of the goals of our MGH Office for Senior Faculty Affairs (OSFA) is to support faculty who want to continue participating in academic projects while stepping back from their full-time research or clinical careers.
To address this, the OSFA offers a signup for MGH faculty who are open to volunteering on new projects!
The link asks for your name, most recent MGH role/title, personal email address, and a brief description of your interests for future engagement. Signup is of course at the discretion of the faculty member and completely voluntary. Signing up serves to indicate your interest in being contacted about relevant opportunities.
The OSFA will provide information on signees only to current/former HMS faculty with legitimate academic projects and will otherwise keep the list confidential: no sharing with outside parties, commercial interests, etc.

The OSFA has gathered a group of experienced MGH faculty who are interested in participating in academic activities as they enter into partial or full retirement.
The list of volunteers includes faculty with skills and interests related to mentoring, writing, teaching, fundraising, and advocacy. These are areas that many departments identified as potential unmet needs as their current faculty members are stretched thinner and thinner.
If you identify opportunities in your department where a senior faculty volunteer might have positive impact, we will be happy to connect you with candidates.
