About Michael DeWane, MD
Michael DeWane, MD, is a double board-certified surgeon who specializes in trauma, emergency and elective general surgery, and surgical critical care.
A native of Minnesota, he attended the Johns Hopkins University for his undergraduate studies and the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his intern year and general surgery residency at Yale New Haven. During his time at Yale, he performed two years of dedicated post-doctoral research and served as the research administrative chief resident. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in surgical critical care at Massachusetts General Hospital after which he joined the Mass General Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery & Surgical Critical Care.
