Research

My research focuses on increasing understanding of how surgical care impacts the lives of cancer patients. I am interested in methods that allow researchers to draw meaningful insights from observational data. My work explores how focusing on temporal and spatial variation in practice can help to uncover how cancer treatments affect patient outcomes.

I felt Dr. Melamed knew precisely what I was dealing with and immediately allayed my concerns about why an appointment was scheduled for me with him. I was informed incorrectly before this appointment that my condition was pre-cancerous where it was not. Apparently anyone with a vulvar condition is referred to him.
