About Warren Backman, MBBS
Warren Backman is an Attending Physician in Geriatric Medicine and a member of the Core Visit Faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at MGH. He graduated from University College London Medical School in England, and completed a 2-year internship in the UK’s National Health Service. Subsequently he completed both an Internal Medicine residency and a Geriatric Medicine fellowship at Boston University and Boston Medical Center, followed by an additional fellowship in Geriatrics at the Veterans Affairs New England Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.
In addition to practicing the full spectrum of geriatric care at MGH and attending on the Internal Medicine teaching service (Bigelow Service), Dr Backman directs a collaboration with the Cardiology dept at Massachusetts General Hospital to provide multidisciplinary geriatric cardiology care.

I am in awe of Dr. Backman-- his knowledge and his astute approach to medicine.
I can't imagine that there is a better physician for anyone at any age than Dr. Backman. He listens carefully, he reviews all of my information, he explains things in a way that I can understand. He is thoughtful, kind, and thorough.

I felt our session was somewhat brief given it was our first meeting.
